What the extension does with Instagram data

Through the session you are already logged into on Instagram in your browser, the extension reads the follower and following lists of the accounts you choose to track, and the stories you decide to open. This data is stored exclusively in your browser (in the extension's local storage) and is never sent to our servers. We don't know which accounts you track, who follows you or who stopped. Uninstalling the extension, or clearing its data from the browser settings, deletes everything.

The extension neither asks for nor stores your Instagram password and takes no action on your behalf (no likes, follows, messages or recorded views).

Profile search on the website

In the website header you can type the username of a public Instagram profile to see its card: our server reads it from Instagram with a service account of ours, not yours. Of that search we keep only the counters (followers, following, posts) with the date, at most one reading every 6 hours per profile, to show the trend; the avatar stays cached for one day. We store no lists, no follower names, and not who searched. Searches are rate-limited per IP address.

Data we process if you create an account

• Email, name and password (stored only as a hash): needed to log into the website and the extension and to manage the subscription. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Extension version and date of last use: once logged in, the extension reports at most once an hour that it is active, to refresh the plan. It transmits nothing else.
• Payment data: Premium payments are handled by Revolut Bank UAB (Revolut Business). We only receive the outcome and amount of the charge, never card details. Legal basis: performance of the contract and accounting obligations.
• Technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) on our servers for security and abuse prevention, kept for at most 30 days. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

Retention

Account data is kept as long as the account exists. You can delete it at any time from the Account page: we erase email, name and subscription. Accounting documents related to payments are kept for the period required by law.

Where the data is

The website and API servers are located in the European Union. Revolut processes payment data according to its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing, by writing to info@opentag.hr. You can also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your country (in Croatia the AZOP, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Cookies

The website only uses the browser's local storage to remember your login, your theme and your language. We use no profiling cookies and no third-party analytics.
