FAQ: every answer to your questions about FollowRadar
The guide to monitoring followers and social relationships: what FollowRadar does, what it can't do and how to use it well.
How do I see who was followed recently on Instagram?
In three steps. Type the username in the FollowRadar box and you see counters and trend right away. Then, with the extension, you run the following scan: the first time it saves the list, from the second on it shows you who was followed recently, with the date they appeared.
Does FollowRadar show followers in chronological order?
Instagram removed the chronological order from its lists and no tool can rebuild it for the past. FollowRadar does the closest honest thing: from the first scan on it records when each contact appears or disappears, and puts the new ones on top with their date.
Do I have to log in to FollowRadar with my Instagram account?
The search on the site asks for nothing. The extension uses the Instagram session already open in your browser: we never ask for your password, we don't see it and we don't store it. A FollowRadar account, with email and password, is only needed for Premium.
Can I see who recently started following a private account?
Only if you follow it: the extension sees what your account sees, fully respecting privacy. The lists of private accounts you don't follow stay closed, just like on Instagram. Public accounts can all be read.
How often is follower data updated?
At every scan, which you run whenever you want: we recommend at most one every 12 hours per type, to respect Instagram's limits. With Premium the extension scans on its own and alerts you when someone unfollows you. Likes on posts refresh on their own every 24 hours.
Do I need my Instagram password?
No. The panel opens next to Instagram and uses the session you are already logged in with in the browser. We neither ask for nor store credentials.
Is it safe for my account?
The extension reads only what your account already sees, pausing between pages, with caps on very large lists and an automatic pause if Instagram asks to slow down. It doesn't like, follow or message anyone on your behalf.
Does it work on Edge?
Yes. Chrome and Edge use the same engine and the same extension. The side panel opens the same way in both.
Where does my data end up?
In your browser. Lists, history and the names of tracked accounts stay in the extension and never pass through our servers. We only know your email, if you sign up, and the status of your subscription. The only exception is the public counters of the site search, which we keep to show the trend.
Can I cancel Premium whenever I want?
Yes, from your account in one click. Premium stays active until the end of the month already paid, then you go back to the free plan without losing your lists.
